For some reason, the thieve's guild doesn't want me. Only thing I ever did to them was get the code book for the fighters early on, and I've done that before, so I dunno what the deal is. They aren't hostile, just say I 'don't meet the requrement's, and have been saying that for around 20 levels now.
Tried the make-your-own spell option, didn't work, thanks anyhoo: it was a good idea.
Thanks for the tip on the greaves and pauldron: glad I didn't spend any MORE time looking for those.
Looked through the ironworks archive, found out the bound cuirass could be had from someone at Ft. Moonmoth, and found the spell seller in the cellar for the very first time, though I've probably spent upwards of 40 hours playing this so far...
So I made an exquisite amulet with cuirass, shield, longbow and longsword as a test piece. My main objective was to create great armor that weighed nothing so I could haul more. Am debating whether I really need the shield in the mix, might re-do it with the gloves instead. Also wondering whether it would be better to enchant things like the bound gloves into gloves: seperate the items for more long-term flexibility, but that would take a LOT of golden saints and soul gems...
