AFAIK he should be outside the House of Earthly Delights like you say. However I would think that you haven't killed him, because that is one way to complete the quest, so when you were given the quest the quest-giver would have said 'oh you've already dealt with Elvil, good work' or some such thing. (Unless you got the quest a while ago and killed him in the meantime without realising it - in that case go check with the quest-giver to see if you've finished the quest by accident
. Probably a bad strategy to just kill random people though [img]tongue.gif[/img] ). So I think it may be the bug where people disappear. I'm not sure if patching works or you have to cheat them back in however since I'm not really up on all that.
