After the fun and frolics of Morrowind, I wasn't expected to be so unimpressed with Tribunal. But I was very disappointed. The city is pretty, and I do like the rich shopkeepers. The miscellaneous quests were diverting. LOL the play thing was fun - the first time I did it I thought they were attacking me because I got so many lines wrong and reloaded

. (What was with the ebony armour guy though in the temple area? Man he was really really tough to kill! What happens if you give him all the money he wants btw?)
However the sewer missions are (haven't finished) very irritating. I find the goblins totally annoying. They're totally killable, but in that annoying way that anything tougher than the plain old goblins (like the bruisers and handlers) causes a reasonable amount of damage on me so I'm constantly taking potions or healing which is expensive/time-consuming. I think that if there's going to be enemies, they either should be so easy that you don't get a scratch, or tough in that you have a varied array of different enemies that you need different tactics for each and need to use special equipment and such - so it's a challenge not a drudge. For instance, I found the battles with Dagoth Ur personally satisfying, because they were tough in a way where I wasn't sure I was going to make it and had to use that special stuff I found along the way (heart ring and such). The goblins are not like that - I know I'm going to get through it but not without taking lots of damage - it's just all so samey. Like, I go through the sewers, and I reached the old Mournhold - you know the Hall and such. And I was excited - ooh new monsters and cool treasure! Nope - more goblins
