Just to add on what Greystone said about spells, since I'm not sure how much you know (I was clueless as well

), you can either cast spells from scrolls, items or your own store of spells. To learn a spell you don't 'read' it off a scroll like in some games, you either buy them from someone (the option is 'spells' like 'barter'), you can buy special spells made from combinations of spells you already have (the option is 'spellmaking'), you start with some spells, or occasionally you can learn them from books you read. Then to cast them, right click and you'll see a list of all the spells you know in the bottom right box (in yellow), with the magicka they require and your chance of success (remember your chance of success depends on your skill in that spell's domain, for example a healing spell require the restoration skill, and how fatigued you are). Click on a spell then you can cast it like you use an item.
Hope that makes sense!

And I so agree about the graphics! I wander about at night looking up at the sky - the moons and starts are so beautiful!
