Yes, now that I have tried her, I beleive she is the best Fighter in the game, for the following reasons:
She is a real fighter, meaning she can become grandsmanter in her weapons skills.
She has some nice abilities, Inspire Courage is awesome against some monsters, and Lay on Hands is a very nice and fast healing.
Equiped with a good bow, she can shoot 5 arrows per turn! making her the Best archer npc in the game.
If you want her to melee, by the time you hit the end of the game, you should have enough Proficiency points to make her grandsmaster in another class of weapons. But there are some good short swords out there too.
