Not exactly sure what you mean Ranger? I take it you mean with skill utilisation.
Mages seem to be a pain in the beginning, as their magic is pretty poor (or hopeless). Guess that's why classes have some h-t-h and armour skills. Until you're up a few levels, I find you rely upon them more than anything else. 'Cept running away of course!
