Am I being watched by the Canadian Secret Police?! I knew that white van parked outside my house was...suspicious.

Anyhow, the creature you describe is what is called a "sleeper." They do have quite a bit of magic to throw at you, but don't really pack a punch fist-wise. If you are of lower level then use protection from fire, shock, and poison, as these are the three spells they love to use. With a decent weapon and good strength you can dispose of them quickly in a one on one fight. However, if you are of lower level then buying spells of skeleton minion summoning would come in handy. Let the summoned monster take the brunt of the fight, then when your summoned friend is killed or disappears then go in for the kill. Zis iz not a prublem faer me, ahz ah am a leval 73 adventuraer, and when ah it ah munstaer...they disappaer.

But as I said before it all depends on your level. If at 35, go in for the kill. If 25, better have some potions and magic. If 15...run. If level 5.....unless you're coked up on moon sugar I don't know what you would be doing there.

Dagoth Ur, as said before is in Red Mountain, so this is just an ancient sleeper. Put him to sleep...
