Hmmm, did you ask to advance with Staff of Magnus in your inventory/equiped?

I prefer the Wizard Staff because it has 120 second Levitation spell. OK, so it is only 1 pt speed, but it is a great way to travel

I have also found Wizard Staff's in several Necromancer/Sorc's caves. I think these are random though...
