The walk/run speed has NOTHING to do with your graphics card!
It depends entirely on the speed attribute, the athletics skill and the grade of your encumberence.
Roll up a weenie with low speed, low atletics and strength and let him put on a heavy armor. Next roll up a tank with high speed, strength (for the armor) and athletics. Notice the difference!
Your athletics will go up pretty fast if you chose to run all time!
