Not sending Jonal a second glance, Shaka motioned one of the guards to bring the satchel. One look was enough for Shaka to know that what he had wanted had been accomplished. He waved another guard to his side, and whispered orders to him. The guard went off as Jonal was slowly slipping into an unconsciousness from which he would never emerge on his own.

The next three days were much blurred for Jonal. He could remember a young man, slightly healing him, and then had come the ordeal. Shaka himself magically set Jonal's bones and joints back in the places they belonged, and if it was even possible the pain was greater than any he had ever felt. He had hoped that his journey to these caves would end his suffering, but in order to be healed even more suffering had been needed.

On the morning of the fourth day, Jonal was once again led to see Shaka.

"You are healed. Consider it as a coin with which I desire to buy another service from you. Something that you yourself desire. You know what I'm talking about, don't you, Jonal?"
