Hmmm, History is replete with examples of noble well meaning leaders who are forced to realize that they have lost sight of their duty and have failed in some respect and realize they need to be merciful and make ammends. I am surprised that no one else chose the other option after confrontiong Lord whatever his name was in the bar in Waukeen's Prauminade. Alot of people seem to forget that being lawful good and noble and all that other stuff, doesn't mean that such people can't be made to realize that they too have erred and should be merciful.
I followed the merciful path, where Keldorn is forced to realize that despite his honor, his nobility, he had also failed his family, as he did not find a proper balance between his family, duty and his honor. We spared the Lord, I allowed Keldorn to return home to his family as requested so that he could repair the damage to his family and re-unite them. After a short time, he is fully prepared to rejoin the group.
Those of us who play as fighters and get the Keep as our stronghold come to realize that adhering striclty to the order of the code or the law, will not get you XP's and rewards associated with quests. Those options are available and often lead to problems leading your people. The options where supposed honor, code and law are viewed with mercy and compassion and a balanced choice is settled upon are the ones where the XP's and rewards come from. Your choice though..
