Galein did not say a word for a long moment, instead, spinning and facing Jena with a look that could freeze molten magma. "Understand," he began softly, "That if I allow them to flee and escape, they will prey upon more innocents. You think that you were the first they would have harmed? I won't let more predators stalk my land and harm my people." Galein paused, and added, "As to other things... I can catch up faster then you can travel as a group. As you have stated, human nature never changes, and that means they will harm innocents. I'm doing as I must, no more, no less."
Galein's tone was less then warm, but it was patient.
