Inside the pouch was a gold ring with a purple gem in the shape of an 8 point star, with the word Koveras engraved on the inner ring, it was warm to the touch. The other talisman was a small stone, round and hollowed into the shape of a ring through natural erosion in a stream, a very rare stone reputed in folktales to ward against the magics of the fey, the veracity of the tale was often questioned, as few people were willing to allow fey creatures to experiment on them to test it.

As it warmed in the hand of the Drow from the brief contact, an image appeared that was of the noble paladin Morguerat, his face fair, and cleanshaven, bathed in light his steel armor fairly glowing with goodness and holiness, and shimmering underneath was the blackened armor the Reapor wears, twisted spikes going in every direction, the visor lifted to show the face of the once noble Morguerat, now twisted in contempt for all things that are not his own, the dual capes flap in unison against an unfelt wind as the mouths open together and speak."
I have a message for you, heroes of legend," the voice sneered, it's derisive tone echoed hollowly around the now deathly silent hall. "There is much to tell, and little that you would understand or trust from me. I have reasons to act against Larry that have nothing to do with my fall, but even he is not the reason for this message. The Shadow has the candle, as well as a pawn of some importance to me. I know the candle is the only thing you're likely to care about, so I shall focus on that, it is an artifact of great power, and evil. Letting the shadow keep it is sure to bring death to all lands, including mine and this I will not tolerate. I shall grant any aid needed to those who go after the Shadow, and stay my hand from conquering more lands for the next ten years if you will ensure mutual survival for all of us." The image shimmered and vanished. The warmth remained for a few seconds after the image vanished and then that too was gone as the stone grew cold in the hand of Kynnen.
