Turin

Turin had not expected so great of news to be as the one given him by the messenger. Morgoth had fallen faster than had even been planned! The Valar must have had a hand in this great victory. he could not wait to see his friends again and tell them the good news. Now that it was all over, maybe he'd stay in Kalam's city and live out the rest of his life in peace.

No explanation could be found. No feeling could be expressed. To see the charred and smoldering city as it lay in ruin brought back too many memories of lost loved ones. The more they searched the remains for those that he knew, and could not find, the more heavy his heart became. Robyn, Roland...where were they? Could they have escaped? Been captured? Or did they meet their end here, somewhere? Despair was quickly turning into anger, and Turin could take it no longer. He screamed to the top of his lungs into the air, filled with horrible anguish. Why had this thing happened to him twice?

He finally found voice enough to curse this tragedy and swear an oath that he would discover who did this, and eliminate them, one by one, to the entire army if he had to, and would find out what happened to his friends. They would sit in the graves unavenged.
