I made way towards the tavern. What a useful girl, I thought. Despite her innocent appearance, she has handled the assingments I have given her relatively well. This last one however..
I reached the tavern. No one was there, apart from the girl and some petty drunkard, standing and shouting nonsense.
I quickly released my 2-handed katana from its scabbard and swinged a horizontal slash towards the drunkard, revealing my tall and slender figure. Blood splat unto the floor and me. I grinned as I saw that this old man was divided into two pieces just perfectly.
I pushed my head forward, making my long ebon hair reach the ground and then pulled it back, running my fingers through my hair to fix my appearance. Then I ran my fingers through my hair twice again. Been long since I cleaned these, I thought. Let alone my robes..
"Even the scum of the world are able to serve some purpose it seems." I spat on the corpse.
The girl's muscles tensed and she pressed her right hand in anger. It wasn't long until she calmed herself, since she knew it would've been futile to attack me now.
I looked into the girl's eyes and saw hate and fear. "As I said before, your next assignment will be your last. You must go and seek out the one called Vikat. His mansion can be found in South District. Rest assured, this won't be as easy as the previous assignments. That is all."
As I walked to the door, the girl quickly asked "Wait! Will you release Dameon then?"
I smirked. "You should be more concerned with actually being able to kill Vikat. As for what happens after that, only one way to find out."
I closed the door behind me. This will be interesting, I thought.
