I appreciate your courtesy Luvian, and I truly can respect and appreciate your position. Those are your feelings and you have every right to have them. I and most people here will defend your right to feel this way. But we will also defend the rights of everyone else here to chose to play this grand game the way that they enjoy it most. One of the wonderful things about this game is the splendid variety built into so that people can play it any way they want to. I myself, the moderators and most of the people here will defend everyones right to enjoy this game whether they conform to the purity of the ideal or not.
I myself only play this game as a good aligned character, but this game forces us by nature of the way it is designed to make very questionable moral choices and actions. I could publish a volume on how immoral our actions have to become in order to complete this game, whether it is breaking and entering into other peoples properties, killing an NPC who really isn't evil themselves but because it is a necessary part of the plot, because the game doesn't offer us a viable diplomatic and peaceful resolution. A truly good aligned person would never kill period, unless there was no other alternative. They would walk away first, but this game wont allow that if you want to finish it. Accidentally killing an innocent because you were attacked in a crowded place at a a bad time, and your rep drops as a result. I could go on and on, but what would be the point. We are here to appreciate this great game, and to share with others who appreciate it as well.
