Sure, if the group really need a mage and he is the only one available, then yes, they could ally for some time, but he should be droped at the first opportunity of getting a good aligned mage. No truly good character would willingly keep traveling with such a character if he had a choice otherwise. A good pc would also not travel with him in BG1, since he make it obvious he want to assasinate someone.

i wonder how much i would have to pay you to play an evil aligned character? i mean youre so 'good' you make the people who play evil character sound like idiots..sheesh!
