Inquisitor Marcos of Snowdale - 98/98

An ashen figure lying in Silverfall's room. The fallen ranger himself, in no better state when he was carried to the very same room, now looked revived and suspiciously innocent. There were traces of magic to be found all over the bedchamber. What he made of it was dark.

But in a way, Marcos figured, he had been fortunate. Silverfall was fit for travel, and his suspects were all of them gathered at the tavern. They would be leaving soon.

"You are both a resilent and fortuitous person, mister Silverfall, but even for you it would not be wise to linger here after the attempt on your life. Speak to noone unless you must, step no closer to others than you must. Even your allies cannot be trusted."

"We will have a finer time talking once the assassin is dealt with," he told Larry, not unkindly. "For now, gather your belongings and meet me downstairs."

With that he returned to the bar where he found Vincent, Arcades, Plaxica, Andrion and Silt all occupied with their own activities.

He cleared his throat to get their attention.

His piercing gaze visited each of them in turn.

The inquisitor stepped closer to the main entrance to make any swift escape more daunting.

"I am surprised to find you all here," he told them.
Louder, he continued "I am Inquisitor Marcos of Snowdale.

"On this very day, by the account of numerous witnesses, and before my own eyes, an attempt was made on the life of Larry Silverfall.
"Three are suspect of this low crime, for they were all of them sighted near the victim at the time of the assassination attempt. They are hereby placed under arrest, until they have been questioned, and judged innocent in this matter.
"There will be no argument in this, and any resistance offered will work against your plight. I ask you to come along quietly as I take you to a location more private and suitable for interrogation, and the unveiling of Truth."

With that, he raised his right index finger, and going down the line, pointed out his prisoners.
