She heard Liam tell her that now Lyulfe lay injured on the floor, and so she sprang up the steps and into the hallway as quickly as a nimble elf would and darted right past the man in the golden suit, turning a left and pushing past Larry who nearly lost his balance for his weakness of limbs.
She fell down to Lyulfe's side and surveyed the scene. No injuries, just apparently exausted from exerting too much power...into what? She turned her head to peer at Larry who was entering the room and understood. Lyulfe had nearly killed himself trying to save that one.
"Oh Lyulfe, why would you do this for a man you hardly know?
Why hurt yourself like this?"
She opened the pouch on her wrist band and selected a needle. She then stuck this needle in a carefully selected spot on the back of Lyulfe's neck. This put him into a deep rest, that helped control his heart rate and breathing. Next, she chose a larger needle and this one she placed in the middle of his back. It helped keep his senses operational so as to not slip away into death. It made him feel the aliveness of the flesh.
After these two pins were placed, which held his life in place literally, her next task was to heal him and give him more life than he already had. He had exausted his entire being into what he did for Larry, and she hoped that the brat would never forget this day that another nearly died for him. She took out from her pocket a small velvet pouch that was tied with a golden string and placed her finger and thumb into the pouch, pulling out a pinch of a ground-up herb that was a secret family recipe for cases dealing in life-saving. This herb she took and put into the palm of her hand and added a drop of liquid from a vial she had tucked away in another pocket upon it, then stirred it. It produced a sweet-smelling fragrance in the air. She took this paste that she had made and placed it upon the upper lip of Lyulfe, as to allow him to breathe in the scent. After counting to herself that he had taken in 20 breaths, she removed the herb, removed the pins, and took his hand in her's, finding the pressure point that lies between the thumb and fore-finger, and pressing down hard upon it.
OOC>>>Lyulfe should awake due to the great pain being applied to hand if the medicine she administered aided him. The herb was an Eastern medicinal flower that rejuvenates the health and quickens the mind in a semi-magical way. The flower is grown by magical influence, but does not need magic to be cast in order to heal.
This was just a way to try to keep true to Rong's character and heritage and also to introduce a new power. Tao would have loved to seen this in action, due to her personage.
