Mage
It had only taken a moment, but then he heard Rodie calling from the darkness. Within an instant, he was there, lingering in the darkness and sizing up the double-minded man. At length, he concluded to a decision.
"So, Rodie...I have heard you and you have made an interesting offer this evening. Let's see...if I give you the power to control the body that you share with Roderik...then you will owe legiance to me. This is a good plan."
The mage reaches into thin air and grabs at the darkness...then a ring is suddenly in his hand, made of black material of what you suppose used to be nothing but a shadow...
"So...if I were to give you this ring, for example, it would give you dominion, locking your mind in place with no ill side-effects...and in turn, you would be trusted to carry out orders in my behalf?
Are you willing to accept this gift, with the warning that once you betray the shadows, the ring vanishes...allowing Roderik back. But not just back. The shadow of the ring will be burned upon your thoughts, and your's only, making it harder for you to find your way back into reality once Roderik takes command of the ship. Are you willing to serve in my favor?"

Larry 13/13
Larry watched Kaylisa, Arcades, and the sand-cat venture off, but he was not sure where...only that there seemed to be a danger of some importance and he was being asked to stay behind. He. Larry. The one that had served this website as a faithful follower of Arie until his love for adventure led him with Chani and Mistral into hazards that not many members on this forum even knew about, as it was before this forum was ever created. Then he had become an evil overlord. Now he was just plain old Larry the guy that was deemed a nobody. He sat down and looked over to see what Vincent thought about being left behind as well.
"Do we really want to wait a whole day and see what is afoot? What do you make of this, friend elf?"

Nanashi
Her golden-speckled eyes watched from her vantage point and realized that Liam was not returning to any seclusion, he was following the strange man. She knew that she must have been detected. He was a were-tiger, afterall, so his senses would have at least told him that she was in the area. Hating her brother for not making her job any easier, she allowed him nonetheless to lead her where he would. When the man on horse-back made his way out of the forestry and into the city, Liam stayed behind, in the forest. He was alone now. She found it too hard to resist the urge, even if her mission would be jeopordized. Coming up nearer to him, she then dashed across the small area that yet lay before the two siblings, and pounced for the attack, intent on showing her brother just how strong she had become before his life was taken by her vengeful claws.
OOC>>>Skye, you have time to make a quick ascertation of the attack, as your senses and the distance uncovered has to allow you at least a brief moment of expectancy of the attack. Your senses note that this attacker is really fast and seeming very determined in her pounce. She is in full tiger form currently.

For Marcos
As the Inquisitor stood there watching the individual passerby and weighing them out in his mind, a beggar approaced from the side of the building and when seeing you, beams at an apparant victory of some sort and hobbles over you way.
"Scuse me, Sir...but might I hold a copper? I need some bread for my children and me."
The poxed-stricken man holds out a hand that you see is covered in filth, being half-hid under a moth-eaten thin garment of mildewy cloth.
