What still needs to be resolved before the end of the game:
1. Getting Therlion out of his unconsciousness.
2. Confrontation between Janni and Salphur. If Hivetyrant doesn't come back from his holidays I'll roleplay Salphur.
And I also feel that I need to give reasons why I'm speeding things up this much toward the game's end.
Inactivity/non posting of certain players.
Of the people who started this game only two are here now. Larry, who was very kind and accepted a more active role in the beginning and Bozos, who helped out with dm'ing in the times when I was busy. The others: Mistral, Terias, Xen, The Fallen One, Sythe have all left the game. Mistral I understood was caught up by real life and she explained to me. But Xen left for 4 months without a single word to me and then after he came back he posted for a week and then left without a word again. He even ignored my pm's. Sythe also got caught up by real life and at least he told me and thus Bozos could control his character. Terias and The Fallen One just disappeared from Ironworks, so I guess they got caught up by real life.
Of the new players Morgan_Corbesant also disappeared without a word, again real life I guess. Keal also disappeared. And not everone of the new players posted as often as the game would have needed it (Ross you are the greatest procrastinator, just because you are always online and don't post often ). This game was my first time DM'ing and I know it was the first game for some people. I tried running the game as I could, but people just weren't posting.
By now I am really fed up with having to ask the players to post each time I want to move the plot on. Those who are an exception to this know who they are and I thank them for having tried to make this game succeed.
And I have to add that if there is going to be a continuation of this game then I shall carefully choose who the players are going to be. I don't mean to say that some of the player's are bad roleplayers, just that this is not the only thing needed for a game. I would have appreciated from the players who disappeared if they told me they were disappearing (this applies especially to Xen, who was online nearly every day during the four months he did not post in the game and it took him four months to read the pm I sent him) as then I wouldn't have counted on them posting.
I would not call the game a success, since the initial objectives were not reached, but I hope that the players enjoyed the game. I certainly enjoyed dm'ing when the players were posting and I did not have to "whip" them in order to make them post.
