Roland also went north to the small wood. He spotted much dead wood and picked up many as his strength would allow. While he was walking back to the camp there was a quick movement to his left. He soon faced the direction but saw nothing but thick trees. The boy knew that whatever was there could conceal itself with ease, with the trees and the shadows. Roland started walking back but this time more alert. A few minutes later he arrived back at the small camp and saw that Turin and Robyn skinning the rabbit. He let go the pile of wood previously in his arms. And took one more glance behind him and turned back to the others and smiled. He was soon preparing the fire by scraping two rocks together to create a spark to alight the wood.
