I was reading a short story in the FR setting where this guy had similar powers and could tell people their future, but he saw all possible outcomes (like hundreds), and so it drove him kinda crazy, because he never could have clear and precise thoughts...and people were sorta afraid of him. The Eastern man stood there in awe, as he watched the conversation between this stranger and the merchant that he was trying to buy from. He had the same problem of not having the money...but he could not perform any trick like that, which would impress anyone. No...he'd just scare everyone with his ability.
Not having the fear of the wierd like normal people do, Markul followed the stranger a pace before speaking up to get her/his attention.
He had an idea.
"Pardon me, I could not help but notice your trick back there with the merchant. Might we talk?"
