The Ravine
Wind and thunder fill this space with sound and these sounds are punctuated by the grunting of a dragon in mighty exertion against the boulders. Other sounds arrive just as the dragon tears the final rocks away from the bare soil within which lies the Hunger, terrible howls that chill the blood and numb the spirit. Ravenous and persistent they have come to the term of their pursuit and they will not be denied. The great cat springs outward from the place it had crouched in watchful readiness its claws striking heavy blows against the flesh of that one which had been already wounded by the dragon. Again the cat strikes. This time, however, its blows are answered as heavy jaws bite deeply into its flesh and a numbing rottenness invades its blood and bones. The limbs of the cat grow heavy and its senses begin to fall into a silent numbing slumber like those in the tomb .....
ooc: Wyrd is in bad shape. The lion has bought Arcades time in which to respond.
One of the banewolves is gravely wounded and the second is unharmed.
