The Ley Line
Swiftly have they dug, the dwarves. Pausing neither for rest nor food in the swinging of their picks, picks forged from the claws of the great tunneling beasts of the Underneath of the Forums, they have reached the surface. Much labor yet remains that this foothold upon the surface be made secure, but nothing and no one has risen to oppose them and much will be accomplished in little time while such is the case. Turning to his companion, the first giant speaks, “The way has been opened, it is time.” To the dwarves, the second giant gives the command, “See to it that hounds are brought here.” They smile, then, giants and dwarves alike, for it has been far too long that this land has gone without the terrible baying of the hounds ringing in its air or their hunting packs stalking its shadow-filled places.
