For Morg and Zach...

In the ocean, a spot of blood can be found by a shark miles away. If one is unlucky enough to be in the area at the time that the shark arrives in its bloodlust, well...that is unfortunate for that one. In the underforums, there are such creatures as those that can taste the recently dead from the air from far away. It is how they survive, using thier keen senses to detect their next meal. The smell of death now lingers in the caverns of the third floor, where two unsuspecting humans try to find communication with one another. How unfortunate for them that they are to be found in the middle of the plate for dinner.

The first thing that gives one warning that carrion crawlers approach is the rank, fetid odor that accompanies it. Then the scurrying of many legs on the floor, the walls, and the ceiling. Then they can be seen. Four of them have been close enough to find the carrion, and they scurry towards the meat, but then the two humans are spotted. A carrion crawler never attemps to eat until all the prey has been successfully paraylized, so they all charge the two humans. With their sticky tentacles leading the way, they quickly approach their stil-moving prey in order to immobilize them.

OOC>>>You have been attacked by four Carrion Crawlers. I am sure you know their attack patterns. Good luck. You have spotted them in time to take action first.
