If Rumbin wishes to dislike me, then I can only attempt to gain his trust through my own actions." she added drily, "I do not wish to burden you with your oath. After all, I'm only half-blood. Most elves would regard me to be worth no more than the dirt they tread upon, if not less." She spoke this last statement with no trace of resentment or anger, merely in a matter-of-fact tone of voice.
