Yes, I'm participating (she, btw

). Since this is going to be a relatively new experience for me (never done a sea-type rpg ), I'm going to use a familiar character... a few changes of course, I don't want anyone to be
too familiar with her. Hopefully there are no objections ^^
Name: Skye
Gender: female
Age: about 22
Race: half-elf
Occupation: bladebard
Appearance
Weight: 102 lb
Height: 5'6
Eyes: blue violet
Hair: chestnut, contained in a long braid that ends right below her rear, and has jagged, chunky bangs that her eyes peek out from behind
Clothes: somewhat Eastern (oriental) in fashion, is of good quality in mostly blues. Consists of trousers, shirt, cloak, light elven chainmail, sturdy boots, and traveling gear (belt & pack).
Strengths: can get along with anyone very easily (amiable), so very good at bartering and getting "stories" for her profession; prefers the non-violent way out of things, but can be a lethal fighter if there's no other way; also proficient in many languages, especially draconic (thanks to her "familiar")
Weaknesses: can be clumsy sometimes; may be judged for being a half-elf breed (though very seldom; her amiable attitude often overcomes that); has yet to get her "sea-legs," having never traveled across a great distance of water;
Weapons: bastard sword by the name of Alus Miirik ("liquid song"); of draconic origin
Belongings: an intricate elven harp; traveling belongings as stated before; dragon tooth ring on right ring finger
Familiars: a male song dragon named "Eolandesamoradananne," Skye calls him Lyulfe for short... his draconic name is too long to say He has silvery blue scales with a tint of violet, like Skye's eyes; has a somewhat cynical attitude and dry humour, and is a character in of himself; Skye got him through her previous adventures and they haven't been parted since
History:
Very easygoing and easy to get along with, Skye always has a grin or smirk on her face, and practically everyone (including strangers) finds it easy to confide and trust her. Not wanting to have an opinion of any side, she doesn't follow any deity nor support any particular government. Because of this trait, Skye is usually a good mediator, and her friendly personality makes her a good bard. Sometimes she is a bit clumsy, but despite that she is a very lethal fighter. She can be mischievious sometimes, but on the flipside she can be very cautious and serious. Skye is usually found in a tavern, entertaining the populace, or wandering about the countryside, in search for exciting quests (and inspirations for songs). Because of her eastern origin, she's dressed somewhat outlandishly, but it's covered with an elven made cloak. Underneath she's wearing light handcrafted elven chain that doesnt inhibit her bardic skills. Skye has a pack that she carries her various necessaries that any adventurer needs, and some pouches on her belt.
Skye originated from the east, where the elves and humans got along somewhat well, so half elves weren't entirely uncommon. Her mother was elven, who seduced a human and bore Skye. She took Skye into the elven clan, and she never knew about her father except that he supposedly was a thief who was later hung. Raised in the elven clan, she learned the delicate arts that was common to elves, but unfortunately her human clumsiness still showed, and was a cause of much annoyance to her elven instructors. Because her mother was an aristocrat, Skye was able to train in the martial arts style of fighting that was only used by the aristocractic elves. She became a blade bard, in order to fulfill her mother's wishes of her to be learned in the arcane arts and martial arts, and also to respect her father's class. (bards know some magic, and also are trained somewhat like thieves.. or at least that was Skye's reasoning at the time). Upon having learned all she could, her thirst for knowledge and adventure made her wander westward, despite her mother's wishes for her to remain. Worried that someone might have been sent after her, Skye never mentions this part of her past. During her travels, a strange twist of fate bound her to a a cynical blueviolet song dragon, Lyulfe, so technically he and her were now blood brother and sister, according to draconic law.
Now at this present time, Skye and Lyulfe are preparing to embark across the water to unknown lands...
