OOC: sorry guys as some of you know i have been operating on minimal rest with being a 15 month olds sole caregiver while nathan works two jobs. time to read up on something, figure out how much i actually know, and collect my thoughts is not in abundance. also in about 3 weeks i will be with not just a 15mo but a newborn as well, i ask that you be patient with me and my character.
IC:"i'm sorry it is hard to collect my thoughts on this. some of the things i have to tell you i have no way of explaining how it happens, in fact most of it seems as supernatural to us as we do to a normal human." mercedes takes a deep breath and finds a comfortable seat.
there seems to be three different aspects to some of the powers i have witnessed from our new threat. the first i'd like ot talk about seems to be for the 'persons' well being or those like him."
she fidgets a moment with the long pants she is now wearing. pulling an animal hair from her shirt she sighs. "there are times when it feels like being held back. only a truly willful fera (shape changers) can approach one when they are doing this, or even just to avoid being pushed away."
"they can also regenerate. i did not see much, but bruises fading in moments and minor cuts healing. i also saw one with a twisted ankle get up and run as if healed. altho my claws and my bites were not visibly affected."
she begins rolling up the left pant leg of her jeans. sighing deeply she shows you what appears to be a tattoo towards the back of her calf. "they can mark us as well. i think it serves as a warning to others of their ilk, and it does not seem to be fading."
pulling her pants leg back down she again readjusts herself more comfortably. the time and care she takes in her comfort and appearance truly reminds those in the room of a cat. "another one, hard to explain, is their ability to call our attention to them, even when we have no intention of going after them at that time. it is like a call to our instinct or deep desires. it can be that they challenge us or taunt us, or even simply appear like the weaker prey. it is hard to ignore, and more often than not the person is more difficult than expected or even luring the fera into a trap. it is rumored to also have been used to protect another, by drawing one of us away."
"these are just a few of the things i have experenced. they are not easy to defeat, either the powers or those posessing them."
OOC:sorry guys but it's to be continued....i have a 48 hour computer fast coming up in about 14 minutes, and i'm still reading the info nathan told me to read relavent to this story. i will try to post again on monday but until them i am computer free! have a good weekend!
