Arlyth awoke after a while, and he tugged gently on Alae's nightgown to wake her. Once she'd woken up, Arlyth snuggled up to her and whispered, "I'm sorry to wake you, cousin... but... I... my dreams. They... are full of questions..." he sighed and the top of his head brushed against her breasts. "Alae..." he began, "Might I ask you something...?" he paused, and looked up at her eyes, ignoring her bosom. "Why do you hold me so? I... I was under the impression that only lovers shared beds... or between close family members - to sleep." he paused, "Have you ever shared your bed with another? A lover I mean?" he asked, ignoring the fact it was a very personal question. He seemed, more then slightly curious and by the sounds of it, he was asking more deeply then just making smalltalk. He sounded, almost wistful, as though he were asking an elder sister for advice. Alae guessed that it hadn't crossed his mind he was in bed with a female - at least, not in that way. If it had, his manner was odd for one who was thinking such.
