He pulled a cell phone from his well tailored suit and talked into it for a few moments, then shortly afterwards a young man walked in with a suitcase, set it down in front of Gwynne and left quickly not even waiting for a thank you.
ooc- whoo, just got back from a "college tour" in massachusetts... anyone here go to MIT?

ic- Gwynne scowled slightly to herself, and felt the top of her boot to make sure the knife was in it's hidden sheath. "Had I known this was going to be a social call, I would have dressed a little more... nicely."

She scooted the briefcase closer to her without checking what was inside -- she trusted Orrick's judgement. "Thank you for providing me with weapons. This may seem a silly question to ask but..." she hesitated, as if unsure to ask. "Is it possible for vampires to read human minds? If that is the case, wouldn't that make me a liability? He could find out from me that we mean him harm..."

Gwynne felt a little ridiculous in asking the question, but until 2 days ago she didn't even know that vampires existed.
