Slipping the card deep into the right pocket of her pants, she drew a deep breath ~ Go home NOW. Solve the mystery later. ~ The call was an urgent one and once sure that her ankle was quite its normal self, she began on a breathless sprint, ignoring everything safe the warning honks of irate drivers.

It was an eternity before she reached her apartment, her trembling hands fumbling for the keys and finally getting them right into the keyholes. Once in, she slammed the doors shut and double-locked them.

What an awful day. ~ Flinging her handbag onto the armchair and then herself onto the sofa ~ What a blasted awful day... ~ As she shook her head in half disbelief, the nagging doubt resurfaced itself almost immediately.

Reaching into the pockets, she retrieved the card and began to examine it...
