The rumours had passed through the land. The Order of Merlin is no more, they said... they're gone forever, it was told...
Although nothing was known about the events that befell Cabala City, one thing became certain: the bard Tahl'Zair, the leader of the order and rumoured servant to Mystra, had died. The fates of others are unknown... disappeared. Scattered, maybe... dead, perhaps.
The palace that once housed them, now sealed. Many people had tried over the past twelve years to open them, but to no avail... the palace had been built by Merlin - the first servant of Mystra. As such, only a true servant could control it. And now one had come. A servant of Mystra had come to open the doors. To claim his destiny. To regather and lead Merlin's Order.

Aramion sighs... here at last. The treck had been long, but here he was. He glances around to make sure noone can see, and quietly lowers the hood of his cloak, allowing himself to become visible. He walks to the large double doors, and raises his staff waiting for the ancient enchantments to come into play. The sealed doors open quietly, and he steps inside. The site before him was not what he had been expecting... the ever burning torches and fires had burned out, but no dust had settled anywhere in twelve years. It was asif time itself had stood still. He does what his instinct tells him to do...
The doors have been opened. Let the others be summoned.
His thoughts echo through the ancient strucure, and a chill wind passes through... the elf can't help but wonder if he did the right thing...
And then, suddenly, the torches and fires light again. A warm spreads rapidly through the building... Aramion leans heavily on his stick, and looks out over the hill the palace is on, content knowing that the survivers will come soon. For they cannot resist but to return here. Now that it is again opened. Now that they can call it as they did before. Their hearts will return to this place, and their bodies won't help but follow them. They will come again, for it is where they belong. Home...
