Completely submerged, the young drow lifted his eyelids to peer around the crystal waters. Alliene, within an arm's reach, was focused steadily on him from above. He released some air from his lungs, allowing his body to drop to the bottom. Once there, he began to fiddle with his collar; he had been working at it for the past few days, and had been successful at loosening the ends. The compressed pressure expanding throughout the pool would surely minimize the magical effects of the collar, allowing him to be able to release himself from this bondage and escape.
Tugging at the overlap in the front, the dark elf received a sudden and unexpected jolt. Resurfacing, he let out a shriek of pain while grasping his right hand. Removing his hand from beneath the water, he saw a streak of tender red stretching across his palm. Turning his head to face his captor, the unseasoned warrior grumbled, "Taudl l'essnil."
