ooc- Okay, just a heads up to Aeris and Khalraan, we've made a two week jump. Just in case you didn't know/weren't notified... ^^;
ic- During the two weeks Skye practiced her bardic skill, much to the delight of the children and Aeris and his brother. She would occasionally appear for Verloren in order to calm her sleep and to check on Sylquis, to help calm Tyra's own distress. The rest of the time she spent wandering over Verloren's large domain, meeting some of the locals and finding inspirations for new songs, as well as keeping an eye out for a certain dragon and a past cousin of Alliene's.
The current day found the half elf clinging to a branch high up in a tree on the edge of Avalon's domain, near Verloren's land. "Shoo!" she waved her left foot, which was dangled dangerously near the jaws of a puppy. The small creature growled menacingly and nipped at the air. If it weren't for the danger of loosing her grip, Skye would have burst out laughing at the hilarity of the situation. "The Ferocious Sharp-teethed Monster and the Bard, now that will make an interesting tale," she remarked dryly, wiggling her foot again.
She had tried to outrun the little devil ever since she left town, but it had been very persistant. Pulling herself up all the way, Skye seated herself comfortably on the branch and took out her harp, checking the strings to see if they were still in tune. She scowled down at the puppy, who looked up with a goofy grin and wagged its tail. "If you wanted a song, all you had to do was ask, you big.. er, small bully," she retorted. Skye looked around embarrassed, hoping that no one she knew would see her in this predicament, while she started to compose a tune to go to her new ballad.
