As the messenger came running, Saturos realized that this was the time where the big guys were to be left alone. "Lucky for me," he thought, as he would like to stay uninvolved when the big decisions are to be made.
Saturos turned around, and followed his guards to the barracks. He remember that he still hadn't introduced himself to them, so when all the six guards had gathered in the barrack, he started speaking.
"Good work today," Saturos said, and smiled. "I suddenly became aware that I have yet to introduce myself to you. I am Saturos, a warrior Monk from the lands long south of here. I am the new guard captain, and you will be reporting to me, and I again will be reporting to those higher than me."
Giving his men some time to either sigh out loud or start rejoicing, Saturos paused a second before he continued. "I know that you just returned from a battle, however how small it was, but there are a few things I would like to say before I give you some time to rest or take a bath or whatever.
Secretmaster hired me because I was most qualified to the job, which I think is the right decision. There will be a few minor changes in the way you perform your jobs. You will notice nothing different at the moment, but you probably will after some time.
Lastly, I would just like to say that you are all very qualified in this job, and that you performed very well today during the ogre-attack. Keep up the good work, guys."
Turning around, and walking against the door, Saturos suddenly stopped, and turned back. "Oh, and one last thing," he said. "If you have any questions or problems or anything, feel free to come to me. I will be staying at the inn for a while. so that's where you'll find me."
Saturos walked out, and headed towards the inn where Eruna appearently also was staying. He payed the man behind the counter enough gold for a week, recieved his key, and went to his room up in the 2nd floor. Nearly collapsing from exhausion, he threw himself down at the bed. "I hope I didn't show off as too much of an asshole," he thought, and fell asleep.
