Ladisha stiffened with surprise and the hug and the kiss, and growled at the mother comment. Dipping her quill into the ink pot, she began to write a letter to her mother in her elegant hand,

Raizshala,
I hope everything is going well at home. I heard that the Daughter-Heir has returned and is trying to gain the throne in the name of House Trakand. Don't forget to support her, sister, you know what a good ruler Morgase was, and Elayne is a powerful Accepted as well, even though she is aligned with the rebels. As for myself, I have been sent to take care of some White Cloaks in a town not far from Salidar, and also gained a Warder. He is an Asha'man, you see, but totally loyal, and exceedingly young, only 17 years old, and still confused about what it means to be a Gaidin, but I am guiding him to the best of my ability. I will return home soon to visit you. Give my well wishes to Haman, and take care of yourself.
Your loving sister,
Ladisha

Finishing her name with a flourish, she folded the letter and found a bit of wax to melt on it, impressing their House Seal in the light purple wax: the Flame of Tar Valon in front of 2 crossed swords. She would send it tomorrow morning. Her sister could channel, but she had not been strong enough to pass beyond an Accepted when they went to train together. Ladisha set the letter in a different drawer than the ink and parchment, so no unexpected accidents could happen. Using tiny weaves of Air to undo the pearl buttons on the back of her dress, leaving her in just her shift. As she suspected, Ailurin was soundly sleeping on the far side of the bed. Smiling slightly, Ladisha pulled back the soft comforter and sank into the soft matress, channeling the lamp out before snugging under the covers, being cautious not to touch Ailurin.
