[Calaethis Dragonsbane]

Calaethis swore, and slammed his fist into the cough. "Damnation and all the hells!" he started swearing again, "WHY am I here I need to be back where I was... of all the ill cursed luck... ZACH!" his mind tone was loud and inffuriated, and Shev cowered slightly at the sound and tone of his master's mental speech. "I need to be over at House we just conquered. I must be there, NOW Zach. Cast a spell, I don't care, but I must be there. And it must be now. I don't care if you want to play with shadow, although, what you see in him, I'll never know... and no, I won't spoil your fun, but please I must be there... and... I won't disturb Matron Alliene.." He cut off, hoping that Zach would do as he requested otherwise he'd have to bug Avalon, and that wouldn't be a good thing... idly he wondered where Lady Verloren was...

"Oh forget it Zach, I'll walk there myself..."

So he did, merging with the shadows, he slipped out unnoticed. He passed a handmaiden on the way; one of his cousin's own. He stepped out of the shadows, ignoring her startled oath. Curbing the urge to slap the young elf, she asked acidically "Did you want something Calaethis? Or do you enjoy sneaking up on handmaidens?" Calaethis grinned impishly and said, "Thats a mean thing to say, after all, I *am* your cousin, abit distantly..." he grinned as the Handmaiden raised her hand to strike him, "You are a little imp, Calaethis; were you any other, I might slay you on the spot, I'm tempted even now to take you to an empty room and teach you some manners - with my whip, but..." she sighed and dropped her hand. "Do not tempt me again little one, you may be under your cousin's protection here, but if your cheeky to me or any of the other handmaidens, don't think we'll hesitate to strike you, understood? Now was there a reason you jumped out of the shadows?"

Calaethis smiled and implusivly embraced the handmaiden, whom he'd grown to like somewhat. "Actually there was a reason, erm, forgive me please, but I seem to have forgotten your name?" The handmaiden shook her head. "Release me child, if others see you hugging me, they'll wonder why I haven't thrashed you, and my name..." She sighed "I indugle you far to much Calaethis. Still, you've always been fairly well behaved for a barbarain elf, Alliene's influence I'm sure" her voice held a subtle amusement "Well my full name is Sui'aerluuthli Olathslyan, but I suppose if you really wanted to, you could call me Sui'aerl."

She smiled at him, as he asked "doesn't that mean; 'Arcaneblue Darkstar?'" She smiled slightly at him, "Very good Calaethis. I see your efforts to learn a civilised language are paying off. Now, your reason for being here? I hope it wasn't some prank, as I'd have to punish you for it." Calaethis grinned and said, "No Sui'aerl, I hadn't come to pull any pranks.." his face clouded over "I need to go out... and someone ought to know where I am... and since... Matron Alliene is... indisposed shall we say? I thought I ought to let someone else know, in case she asks. I don't know where Lady Verloren is - so I thought I'd come and find you instead." *

Sui'aerl gave him an amused look, "And what is so important you had to bother me about Calaethis? And were are you planning to go? If you've disturbed me for nothing, I'll spank you." Calaethis's face turned serious. "I have to go back to the enemy house. I left something behind there - my sword... I need it back." Sui'aerl gave an exaspherated sigh "I really should spank you! Leaving your sword behind! What were you thinking!"
"Calm down, I was out cold at the time... and I got teleported back here." She sighed again, "Very well, I suggest you hurry, your cousin won't be happy to find you left your sword in that place. I'll form up and escort and we can go and find it." Calaethis shook his head, "Its faster if I go alone... really... and I can hide, none will see me. Sui'aerl cuffed him, "...and if anything happened to you, it would be my hide. No, we'll go with a company of warriors."

Calaethis made a face "All right Handmaiden, if you feel its nessaccary," and dougded another cuff aimed at him "Also, Matron Alliene forgot to touch the corpses - we should do that, so that they can never be raised. Sui'aerl nodded in approval "Lets go then"


* there's some history between this handmaiden and Cal - basically, this one has a nicer personalitly then most drow - (hush lb, no comments) And Cal's nature has lead her to try to take away some of his "barbarin" elf qualities since Alliene is first in line for Matronship - also, she doesn't want him embarring her house in anyway, and keeps him from underfoot when Alliene is occuiped.

edit - LB, it says you haven't checked your pms - or at least the one I sent you... if you haven't... maybe next time I won't bother writing them... *sighs* soz, just tired... anyway... [img]tongue.gif[/img]
