ooc: Me nag? What are you talking about? But you're such a darling, Skye. You went through all that trouble for me. You're such a *insert flattering remark here*. But that's such a nice color, I think I may have to start using it on my regular posts.

Starshadow approached his room silently, hoping to catch someone that shouldn't be around his room. But there was no one there this time. "I'm sure I'll get my chance," he thought. "Someone is bound to try something, and when they do, I'll catch them."

He walked up to his door and unlocked it. It wasn't a regular lock; there was a special way to open it even with the key. While the door just wouldn't open if someone were try and get in, the elf had been working on a special trap for the lock. He hadn't completed it yet, but the anticpation made him smile. He was in no hurry to finish it just yet, as he had some other nasty surprises for people that managed to get in.

The swashbuckler was about to walk inside when he noticed something as he withdrew his key. The lock had been tampered with. His keen eye could easily see (now that his attention was there) that someone or something had made a key. Although it did them little good, it did make the elf think twice about being in no hurry to finish his special door trap.

With a quick flick of the wrist, he closed the door and went about setting his room up for visitors. This involved disarming some of the traps that littered his room. He hadn't had the time to set up all of them, and once he had, the place would be inpeneratable. Starshadow even doubted his own ability to get in if he had to, even with his knowledge of the setup; it would be set up that well. But some of the special traps took time to build, and he was not exceptionally skilled at making or setting traps. Locks were more of his type of things, after all.

The elf began to hum as he worked. It was certainly nice to be on the job again.
