"Well, I don't see any of them in here," she announced. She flipped once more through a small stack of "wanted" posters before storing them away. Whoever the others were, they weren't known to regional authorities.
The thought brought a smile to her lips. "That leaves only private contracts," she said merrily. "And we all know how well they pay. Isn't that right, kitty?"
But the cat that had followed Heartless down into a miserable hellhole of a dungeon was now pointedly ignoring her.
Heartless reclined her head and closed her eyes. The rack she was lying on was comfortable when one wasn't being tortured. She envisioned the contacts she would make in the outlying areas beyond the castle and the discreet inquiries that would hopefully lead to profit.
