To lower the AC of a Kensai, I like to use the ring of earth control. This only lowers AC by 1, but can be worn in combintaion with rings, amulets, or cloaks of protection. Also there is a Ioun stone that can lower your AC 1, this can be worn by a Kensai in the helmet slot. Of course if your working with a dual wielding Kensai, Dakkon's Zerth Blade (available from Deidre in Adventurer's Mart) will lower your AC by 1, and gives some extra spells if you dual to a mage. Boots of avoidance are also a nice choice for a Kensai, as they lower your armor class against missle weapons. This should help your PC get close to enemies w/o taking a pounding on the way in.
