Watching the arrow burrow into the blackened creature was a good-feeling sight to see. Brendon admitted to himself that he enjoyed his kills. His mind was preoccupied so much with this dark fascination that he never saw the ax comign his way. Too late to have reacted, Brenddon jumped after the swipe that barely missed him, tripping over his own feet and falling to the floor, letting loose the arrow that was notched to sail straight up to the cavern's ceiling. Looking up, expecting the creature to bare down on him, he instead saw Dantes leap to the rescue, takeing a solid strike at the blind beast.
"Thanks! I owe you one!"
