Finally being unable to make another step, Brendon ceased running, and plopped down on the ground to rest.

"Excuse me! I cannot take another step! My legs need a rest and my lungs are on fire. I pray you forgive my human weaknesses!"

With his eyes closed and enjoying the break that he was allowing his tired body, Brendon could swear that he felt or heard rumblings. Knowing he was not hungry, so the noise was not coming from his belly, he inquired of his travelling companion..

"Strange...I think I felt the ground shake. Is this land prone to eathquakes or tremors?"
