"He took a nasty slice to his arm from one of the goblin blades and a minor cut on his chest. He wouldn't use his healing spells on himself, so I had to apply a healing salve that I carry with me to his arm. The loss of blood would have prevented him from going much farther.
The cut to his chest is minor and will prove to be nothing more than a painful annoyance. He's a hardy one, I'll give him that (especially for an elf). And he is good in a fight. We will continue to follow him from a distance, so that we may keep an eye on him, but he seems capable of handling himself should the need arise. Come, let us follow before he gets too far ahead."
Aric slips his ring back on and becomes Invisible once more. As they start to follow the elf, Sorsha is struck by a realization....she could have sworn she "almost" heard a hint of respect in Aric's voice, but if she did, it was quickly concealed behind his normal, surly demeanor. Without another word, the two unlikely companions set off to follow the ranger as he continues walking straight towards the stronghold.
