He glances back at Sorsha, trying to see if she's all right with this man's company before replying to Aric. The ranger is prepared to let the bountyhunter go with them, but only while in the forest. Durlan aside, he didn't think he'd want the company of anyone but Sorsha for a while yet.

"The only reason we're near this wood is because I wish to find a friend of mine. His name is Durlan Gnubber, and he is a ranger in these woods. I've reason to believe he is no longer safe but imprisoned in a stronghold, held by whomever organises the monsters in the area. We're going to get in, find him and get out again.
I'll try to help you get in in return for additional safety, but if my friend is still alive I'm going to get him out there as fast as I can. You may go after this mage if you wish, but then you'll have to find your own way out.
Whatever happens in there, when we leave there'll be no debts between us.
Agreed?"
