Taking advantage of the distraction he fires the arrow which strikes the thief directly in the neck. A brief look of astonishment comes to his eyes before he collapses to the ground (ooc: I hope he wasn't important, Legolas).
He immidiatly dives to his left - taking cover behind a sturdy beech-tree, while trying to pick out any other bandit as well as keeping one eye on the rampaging gargoyle.
