At their increased pace, and having skipped breakfast, they reach the woods early in the afternoon. An abandoned farmhouse provides shelter from prying eyes as they stop to prepare themselves for the final, most dangerous part of the journey. He wanted to get going and find Durlan, but running straight into the enemy camp, if there was any, was about the worst thing he could do. They’d need stealth to get in and out, but from Ser Castor’s descriptions the woods were packed with evil creatures. And waiting for the cover of darkness might not work either, as some creatures he imagined might be there would actually be more alert in those hours of the day. Besides, he had no idea where the building from his dream was located, or if that was where they kept the ranger. If he was caught.
