Not sure what to say to that, he instead puts his arm around her and remains silent. It did not matter to him if she was indeed selfish, for he loved her all the same. The pain and the feeling of helplessness came from her tormenting herself with the thought she was, and his not knowing how to ease it.
He looked back to the fire, swallowing once or twice before losing himself in it's flames. After a time, he vaguely notes the sky's brightening, along with the shrinking of the fire, but most of his mind is elsewhere.

Internet at home's acting strange of late, and I woulnd't be surprised if that's going to decrease my replies/day ratio. On the other hand, Uni starts in full on Monday, and there's cable internet there [img]smile.gif[/img]
