OOC: With a slight relative infestation now out of the way, I can finally get back to posting. And the forum's up too! Yay

Legolas
He can tell Sorsha does not much like this Castor, and he too would rather it were just the two of them traveling. Still, it might be useful to learn what they could of the supposed troubles.
"What trouble and forest are you speaking of, Ser?"
"I'd gladly tell, but if'n you asks me I'd say it ain't not entirely fair that I should be givin all the information here, mate."
"You are the one who claimed to have knowledge to share, not us. But if there's anything you'd like to know ask away, and I will tell you what I can."
"What you will."
"What I will. Ask."
The self-proclaimed paladin starts to grin, then.
"What's the name of the beautiful gal by your side?"
"Won't you rather gather your courage and ask her instead of me?"
"G'point. The trouble's a couple bands of beasty dudes, lots of kinds. I could handle them, 'specially if you gave me a hand. Are you goin to take me withya or not?"
"You didn't answer the rest of the question."
"That was two questions, mate. Are you?"
"I can't tell unless I know where we are or aren't going."
"Okay, but you owe me another after, alright? It's the area 'round Witchy Wood."
It was where they were going. Was there any way for this man to know? If so, it'd probably be best not to take him and his squire along. Mind and heart agreeing, the answer is a no.
"Fair enough. But I'm dyin for some blokes to travel with. You happen to know other adventurers like meself?"
"There is a group of them, in fact. Last I saw them, they were headed for an orc encampment. With your horse, it'll be about a one day ride over average roads to reach the point where we split. I don't know how far to the camp or if they'll still be there."
"Thanks mate. The beasties are pretty weak near the edge of the forest, but they get bigger, stronger and faster near the centre. There's talk of a wizard organising them all too. Those are fer free, by the way. You'd have picked them up later anyways."
Castor and Vino remounted and raised a hand in farewell.
"Bye, ranger Legolas. 'Till our next meeting", Castor said right before he charged off. A gust of wind carried Vino's words "wish I had a green messenger bird" and then they disappeared behind a stand of firs.
Legolas's puzzlement vanishes after a few moments, and then he just feels stupid for not using his head. When it changes to a mild anger, he bottles it up and puts it away. Then he turns to Sorsha for her opinion on the two.
