Legolas

After a plain but welcome breakfast the two step outside to continue their journey. Before they get very far, a rider appears from behind an ancient, twisting pine tree. The horse, a charger, is a light brown, and though not exceptionally large or costly, it is groomed to a point where the creature shines. It's rider is human, his face young but bearing several scars. His short-cropped hair is a black the colour of a raven's feathers. Polished and shining, the ringmail he wore looked splendid on him. Either he or his squire behind him would have to have spent many hours working it up to it's current gleam. Around the suit of armour played a series of bright red lights, each tracing the contours of his chest in slow circles. It was hard to determine whether the armour was enchanted for protection or for show.
He halted short of Legolas and Sorsha and swung out of the saddle with practiced grace. The squire bent backwards, also a very practiced move to avoid contact with his master's leg.

"G'day travellers," he said. "Name's Ser Castor, of the, ehr, most noble Order of the Radiant Heart."

Legolas gave the man a nod and he continued.

"Dere's a bloke in the tavern told me of two travellers, I hope you're not going south, eh?"

The man strangely overstretched his vowels.

"We are. Why?"

Castor looked around cautiously and lowered his voice.

"They tell there's trouble that way, in one of them forests."

He leaned closer to Sorsha

"But there ain't nothing to worry about with me around, you'll see. If ya got to there, I'll gladly come along. That bloke over there's my squire Vino, almost as nice a guy as me, eh?"
